Conscious Childcare in the High Desert

We believe that our kids need Love, Play and Nature to thrive. Therefore we create a safe and loving space where our kids can connect, learn and thrive in the most conscious and natural way.

Join Our WoVa Kids Pod

The WoVa Kids Pod meets every Tuesday and Thursday in Wonder Valley, catering to children aged 1-4. Our goal is to offer a nurturing and inspiring environment for the kids while providing flexibility for parents to stay close, drop off, or co-work.

Our teacher focuses on helping the children express their thoughts and feelings, learn cooperative play, and engage in age-appropriate teaching, all while fostering a loving and positive atmosphere.

There are a couple of options to join the pod: Tuesdays from 9AM-1PM or from 9AM-4PM. On Thursdays we

  • 8.30 - 9 AM Welcome / arrival time

  • 9 AM -1 PM Daycare / Playcare with Tori Moore (Tuesdays and Thursdays)

  • 9AM-4PM Daycare / Playcare with Tori Moore (Option on Tuesdays)

Meet the Team

Tori and Sivan came together to create The WoVa Kids Pod, a conscious daycare and pre-school pod where play, nature and love are central in everything we do.


  • Teacher

    A former preschool teacher and career nanny, now bringing her experience in teaching children to the high desert with different preschool or school aged pod groups. With a big focus on socialization, nature, play, emotional intelligence, and allowing kids to just explore this world and have fun. Her goal is to provide rural families with the experience and help that one can get in a big city. She has vast experience in different family dynamics and goals and how to help their children grow into their best selves with a loving and supportive community behind them.

  • Organiser

    Having a Toddler in a remote place like Wonder Valley inspires me to create a community for my daughter Leaf. She loves playing with other kids and I know how important the environment we raise our kids in is for their developing brain and being. Therefore I have initiated the Wova Kids Pod, together with Tori, to create a safe, loving, fun, educative, nature-filled space for our kids to grow up. play and learn together.

Location

We host our Pod at Sivan and Doug Evans’ home in Wonder Valley. An open space home with a large outdoor (fenced in) area. As part of Wonder Valley Hot Springs there are 3 rock tubs for soaking in warm mineral water, outdoor shaded areas, big rocks for climbing, big trees for shade, and lots of dirt to dig into and rocks to collect. Kids can sleep in the two beds in the house. Dogs are welcome to play in the yard (please make sure to pick up after them).

Practical Information

  • 4 sessions sign-up: 

    $160 per month for 4 sessions of 4 hours daycare - paid a week in advance. If you’d like to extend daycare on tuesdays to the afternoon, we charge an additional $30 (this comes down to $10 per hour for daycare, please note we don’t offer the option of paying per hour)

    Costs Drop-In: 

    $50 per session - paid one day in advance, first come - first serve (pod limit is 6 kids)

  • Days:

    Tuesday from 9AM - 1PM or 9Am - 4PM + Thursday from 9AM - 1PM with our Teacher.

    We are in for the long run. Our intention is to create the foundation for a community home schooling pod in the future.

  • To join our pod, please contact Sivan (310 3678812) for more information and join for a test day free of charge to see if you and your little one will enjoy joining our pod!

  • You are welcome to drop off your child or stay on the property and work or relax. The intention is that parents can get some headspace during the hours of paid teacher time. We have internet and inside + outside desk space available for work, and a remote cabin available if you want to take more distance and have more focus (500 ft). During the teacher time, soaking in the hotsprings is also available to parents - either on the property or in one of the other tubs.

  • We have a healthy plant based whole foods home. We invite you to bring snacks and lunch within this diet so that everyone can share and enjoy.

    Family Lunch on Thursdays: 

    Will be provided by the families, potluck style. This will give us a chance to all sit and eat together. If desired, we can organize a topic for discussion each week so we can go a little deeper in our connection and reflection as new parents. 

  • We are creating a community of like-minded families and invite you to join us! Every Thursday after the pod, you're welcome to stay and enjoy a family lunch together. Even if you're not part of the pod, you're still welcome to join us for the community lunch and spend the afternoon with us until 4 PM. Participation is optional, so please let us know if you'd like to come.
